Hotel Tugu Bali is a new
luxury museum boutique resort featuring an exclusive collection of historic
Indonesia artwork, antiquities and cultural artifacts. A private, serene and
romantic haven, Tugu Bali is located in the ancient village of Canggu, nestled
among lush rice paddies near Batu Bolong Temple, one of Bali’s most sacred
temples.
Upon arrival to the resort,
couples begin their Tugu Bali honeymoon with a musical serenade from a humming
Gong, a traditional Balinese instrument played by members of the hotel’s staff.
Honeymoon guest are then led through the hotel via Wantilan Agung (The
Grand Ceremonial House), a huge lobby featuring a thatched roof supported by
stone columns inspired by the ancient ceremonial house in the ancient, village
of Bayung Gede and is filled with antiques and cultural relies. An old
man said to be more than 100 years old and the hotel’s official greeter stands
in front of an antiques mumbling a silent prayer-wishing the marriage will last
forever – while periodically sprinkling the couple with lightly scented floral
water.
